Shirley Jamieson Harrell

Shirley Jamieson Harrell, 89, wife of the late William Dewitt Harrell, died on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Born in Eastman, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Jamieson and Georgia McCranie Jamieson. Mrs. Harrell worked as a Nurse for St. Mary’s Hospital and retired from Athens OBGYN. She was a member of Watkinsville First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Paula (Craig) Crosby and Lisa Mills; grandchildren: Taylor (Natalie) Crosby, Leigh (Danny)  Williford, Chandler (Clifford) Jones, Mary Chase (Greg) Bolden and Clayborne Mills: great grandchildren: Tinley, Daniel and Madelyn Williford, Witt and Collier Crosby, Charlotte and Conley Jones and Reagan Bolden.

A celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 11AM at Watkinsville First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Watkinsville First United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
