Sherry Kay Franco

Sherry Kay Franco, 65, of Athens / Oklahoma City, passed away on April 25, 2026

Born on June 28, 1960, in Oklahoma City, OK, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Mary Sexton. Sherry lived most of her life in Oklahoma before relocating to Athens in 2024. In her free time, she found joy in spending time with her beautiful family.

Survivors include her sons Nathaniel Blue Franco Sr. and Edward Allen Franco Sr; grandchildren Edward Allen Franco Jr. and Nathaniel Blue Franco Jr.; brothers Samuel Sexton and George Sexton; and sisters Helen Jones and Liz Russell.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Allen Franco; sisters Vicki Reed and Shirley Sexton; and brothers Drexel Sexton, Warren Sexton and Rufus Sexton Jr.

A visitation for Mrs. Franco will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Lord and Stephens East. (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605)
