Shane Fleming

Joel Shane Fleming, cherished son, brother, uncle and nephew, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the age of 48.
A lifelong resident of Greensboro, he was a son of Joel Emerson Fleming and Marcelle McDougal Fleming. Shane was an avid music enthusiast. He loved taking pictures of sunsets, reading, playing guitar, and enjoyed being outdoors with a passion for hunting and fishing.  Everyone that knew Shane knew he had a huge heart and loved helping others.  Shane graduated from Nathaniel Greene Academy prior to attending Gordon College where he also played on the baseball team.  Shane was a long time employee of the family business, Fleming Heating and Air.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his brother, Jeremy Slade Fleming and his wife, Lauren; niece, Haley Fleming; nephew, Caden Fleming; two aunts, Wanda Echols and Jana Fleming Roper and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services celebrating Shane's life will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at Oconee Memorial Park.
