Shamekia Rochelle Richardson

SHAMEKA Richardson, the beautiful woman we called Meka. She was born in Choctaw, Alabama on February 20th, 1983 to Glenease Richardson and James magic. She passed away on June 4th of 2026 in Atlanta Georgia. 

She married Demarcus Williams in 2005, where they lived Chicago, Illinois. Shameka was a strong willed, fierce, and proud woman who exceeded and beat all the odds. She pushed through many tough seasons in her life and though she went through a lot she never let it stop her. She worked in the hospital as caregiver and worked endlessly to reach her goals. She was always there for the ones she loved and she loved them with her whole heart. Shameka was a firm foundation for many and she gave the tough love that was needed. Many of us knew Shameka to have a hard exterior but on the inside she was a sweet person who cared so dearly for those that she trusted and cherished. Let’s continue to remember as she was. 

Shameka was proceeded in death by her grandparents Dillard & Elaine Richardson and great grandparents Henry Coleman Sr. and Willy Pearl Bennett.

She leaves to cherish her memory of her husband Demarcus Williams; daughter and a son: Sarah Williams and Nathan Williams; parents: Glenease Richardson and James Magic; sister: Shakelia (Jameel Williams) Richardson of Aurora, Illinois; brother: James (Catina Berry) Richardson of Tulsa Oklahoma and three other brothers; cousin: Shamarcus Richards (Kimberly Richarson ) of Montgomery Alabama; cousin: Shaquitta Richardson of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; auntie: Sarita Richardson of Lisman, Alabama; sister in law: Alma Magic of Georgia and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, sister in law, nieces and nephews.
