Sarah Evelyn Temple

Sarah Evelyn Temple, 85, wife of the late James H. Temple, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Born at home in Comer, GA, she was the daughter of the late Albert M. Brown and Ella Kate Brown. She was also preceded in death by her sons Tony and Perry Temple and grandson Taylor Temple. Evelyn worked as a nurse at Athens General/Athens Regional as well as an Insurance Physical Examiner for various insurance companies. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Dixie and Charles Burkhalter; siblings: Sharon Hodges, Kay (Tommy) Baker and Pete Brown; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 3PM at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
