Sarah Catherine Mitchell, 77, died February 29, 2012.
A native of Comer, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Cornelius and Grace Compton Threlkeld. She was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville and has made her home in Comer for the past 6 years. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Vineyard Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Mitchell; children, Gayle Howard, Bryan Mitchell and Matthew Mitchell, all of Woodstock and Mark Mitchell of Covington; sister, Norma J. Toth of Comer; brothers, Jim Threlkeld of Comer and Grady Threlkeld of McDonough and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vineyard Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
