Samuel “Sam” Scott Smith, 62, husband of 19 years to Gianina Smith, died on Monday, September 21, 2026.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, Sam was the son of Mary Ann Ashworth Smith and the late Carl Edwin Smith. In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include his sons; Luca Smith and Steele Smith: daughter: Sara Smith and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home East Chapel with Father Nicolae Clempus officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
