Sally Elizabeth Beales Neasbitt

Sally Elizabeth (Beales) Neasbitt passed away on April 6, 2026, in Athens, Georgia. She was 75 years old.

Sally was born July 26, 1950, in Savannah, Georgia, to Jane E. (Corvette) Beales and James F. Beales. She graduated from Waycross High School in Waycross, Georgia, and went on to attend Nyack Missionary College before graduating from Texas Wesleyan College. In 1979, she married Glenn D. Neasbitt and made her home with him in Fort Worth, Texas, and then Madison, Georgia, where they remained together until her death.

Sally was strong-willed and resolute, a woman who knew her own mind. She worked as a licensed real estate agent in Texas, getting her start with Virginia Hopkins Realty, and later, she and Glenn owned and operated Liberty Arabian Farms in both Texas and Georgia. Sally especially loved her Arabian horses, which she raised and showed with pride.

Wherever Sally lived, she made lasting friendships. From her years in New York to her time in Texas and her home in Georgia, she gathered people to her and loved them well. She held a special place in her heart for the Deraco family, whom she considered near-family.

Sally had a tender heart for all animals. She was known for rescuing unwanted or mistreated cats and dogs, never turning away a creature in need.

Sally was predeceased by her parents, her nephew, and numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband, Glenn; their son, Pastor Scotty (Wendy) Neasbitt; their grandchildren, Lauren, Logan, and Liam Neasbitt; her sister, Jeanne K. Beales; and her niece, two grandnieces, and two grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sally’s memory can be made to the Salvation Army or the ASPCA.
