Ruth Chandler Power

Ruth Chandler Power, age 76 of Lincolnton passed away at the Medical College of Georgia following a period of declining health. Mrs. Power was born on April 5, 1936 in Stephens, GA to Thomas Griffith and Ida Sanders Chandler. She worked for a number of years at Superior Pants as a seamstress and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Power is preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband James Aubrey Power. She is survived by her son Randy Power, sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Lisa Power, Guy and Jean Power, daughter and son-in-law Grace and Tony Norman, sister Dorothy Bates, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from the funeral home chapel at 3:00 PM with the Pastor Tom Smalley officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
