Athens - Ruth Evelyn Hopkins, 91, died March 16, 2011.
A native of Athens, she was a daughter of the late Rufus A. and Mina Burger Pledger, and the widow of Ralph Edward Hopkins. Mrs. Hopkins was a lifelong member of Princeton United Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 3:30 PM at Princeton United Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Repetske officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph Edward (Becky) Hopkins of Elkton, FL; daughter, Barbara Ann Spratlin; brother, Harvey H. Pledger of Bishop; sisters, Doris P. Jones and Agnes P. Smith, both of Bogart; two grandchildren, James Edward Hopkins and Christine Elaine Hopkins.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
