Roy Lee Sosbee

Roy Lee Sosbee, 92, died May 1, 2024. 

A native of Jackson County, Mr. Sosbee lived most of his life in Oconee County. He was a son of the late Roy C. and Josie Davis Sosbee. 

Mr. Sosbee was an active member, former deacon and choir member at Mars Hill Baptist Church. He was an electrician and homebuilder for over forty years and enjoyed working in his yard. He especially loved spending time with his family. 

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, WEST. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. 

Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Sylvia Sosbee; three children, Teresa (Buck) Williams, Darrell (Beverly) Sosbee, all of Watkinsville and Rhonda (Keith) Crockford of Bogart; two stepchildren, Nancy (Danny) Mead and Bill (Kathy) Ghirardini; five siblings, Marge Burns, Leonard Sosbee, Josephine King, Bevoline Weathersbee and James Sosbee; ten grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. 

Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
