Rosemary Absher Ware

November 15, 1955 — April 7, 2023

Carlton

Rosemary “Nana” Absher Ware, 67, of Carlton, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Absher and Kathleen Conley Absher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ellis Ware; brother, Alford Absher; mother-in-law, Willie Mae Ware and two grandchildren, Angelina Elizabeth Woolston and Corey Matthew Chatham. “Nana was known the most for the LOVE she had for her family along with anyone else she crossed paths with. She dedicated her entire life putting everyone’s needs above her own. Her passion and enjoyment came from reading “Stephen King”, crocheting baby blankets, and sewing even those GOD-awful gag aprons she made for everyone. She will be remembered for her contagious smile and ability to engage in conversations with anyone. She will always be remembered for her off the wall, quirky, sometimes overly abrasive sense of humor, not to mention the over-the-top silly, goofy faces she made on a regular, or the pinches she gave just to get a smile. Even through her illness she continued to have a courageous lust and love for life, family, and friends. She loved you all with her whole heart (TO THE MOON AND BACK) as she would always say. Nana will be forever missed and never forgotten.

Survivors include her brothers, Garry Absher (Shirley), Jimmie Absher, Johnny Absher (Nila); children, Kristin Dorsey (Henry), Jason Chatham, Garry “Shane” Chatham, Amanda Chatham, Shatanna Ware and Dorian Ware; grandchildren, Phillip, LeAnne, Ronnie, Heather, Michael Shane, Brittany, BerAnna, Jarrod, Destiny, Trinity, Kyla, Jabrail, Nicholas and Xavier; great-grandchildren, Khalecci, Brayden, Trenton, Baylee, Braxton, Brandy, Brylee, Aria, Mariya, Kenzie, Jackson, Phillip “PJ” and Christian “CJ” and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East in Athens.
