Ronald "Ronnie" Wendell Stevens, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, left this world on September 25, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on November 25, 1949, in Duluth, Georgia, Ronnie lived a life rich with love, hard work, and cherished memories.
Ronnie was a dedicated pipefitter and an esteemed member of the Local Pipefitters Union #669. His expertise shone through as he skillfully installed sprinkler systems, contributing to the safety and comfort of many homes and businesses.
His service to his country was marked by his time in the US Army, where he proudly served and developed a strong sense of duty and community that carried through to all aspects of his life.
Family was everything to Ronnie. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Jenkins Stevens, and his wonderful daughter, Carolyn Stacy (Scott) Goddard. Ronnie was also a proud grandfather to David Jacob Goddard, who brought him immense joy. He is further survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Voakes, who shared many fond memories with him.
Ronnie was a man of many interests. He found joy in his faith as a member of The Cross Church in Loganville, GA. Growing up, he embraced sports, playing Little League baseball and excelling in football during high school. Ronnie enjoyed his time in the great outdoors, whether it was fishing, deer hunting, or spending afternoons farming. He was an avid supporter of UGA Football and had a special fondness for I-HOP, where he enjoyed meals with family.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Ernest Stevens and Eula Mae Little Stevens, as well as his siblings, Carolyn Geneva Rutledge and James Ernest Stevens. Though he is no longer with us, Ronnie's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family will be fondly remembered.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
