Roger Dale Shelnutt, Sr.

Roger Dale Shelnutt Sr. of Lexington passed away November 30, 2023, at the age of 71.

A native of Clarke County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Marshall Shelnutt and Lillie Reba Hammonds Shelnutt and three siblings Hazel Mann, Ann Shelnutt, and Marshall Shellnut. Mr. Shelnutt worked as an Auto Collision Specialist. He spent worked for Elder Body Shop and at A.C. Auto for many years.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, at 2PM at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens, with Reverend Chris Wren and Reverend Calvin Weaver officiating. A public visitation will be at 1PM.

Survivors include wife of forty-eight years, Nancy Shelnutt; six children, Trampus (Susan) Shelnutt, Bonnie (Rodney) Christian, Roger Shelnutt Jr., Daniel (Rachel) Shelnutt, Rayburn (Beth) Shelnutt, Slim (Holly) Shelnutt; brother, Tim Shelnutt and he also leaves behind twenty-five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
