Robert Bayard York, Jr.

Robert “Bob” Bayard York, Jr. 65, of Winterville passed away on October 17, 2022. Born on July 3, 1957, he was the son of Martha Jean York Hill and the late Robert Bayard York, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Wallace Hill.

Bob was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, family member and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Shannon York; children, Michael York (Leah), Will York; mother, Martha Jean York Hill; sister, Beth York; grandchildren, Alexander York, Elizabeth York; nieces and nephews, Josh Love (Deanna), Robert Love, Margaret Ashton, Elizabeth Ashton; sister-in-law, Tracie Graham (Eric) Brothers-in-law, Brooks Bedwell (Huey) and Treven Bedwell.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Lord & Stephens East. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Lavonia, Georgia.
