Robert Sellers passed away on June 20, 2023, at the age of 91.  Bob was a veteran having served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He received a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Navy Occupation Medal for his service.
Bob graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor’s degree and from the University of Florida with a Masters's degree in statistics.  He began his doctoral studies at Florida State University and then moved to Athens, Georgia to accept a position with the Carl Vincent Institute of Government.  Bob attended the University of Georgia completing his remaining doctoral coursework with the exception of his dissertation.  He retired from the UGA Institute of Government after 22 years of service.
Bob was a wonderful role model for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He was faithful in attendance at worship services throughout his life and most recently at the Central Oconee Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon.  He was a loving husband to his wife, Rose, for 67 years.  He will be greatly missed by his family.
