Robert William Hopewell, 85, husband of the late Betty Redemer Hopewell, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
A native of Liberal, KS, he was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Chance Downing, his father, two sisters, one brother and daughter, Sue Hopewell. Robert was the owner and operator of Green Acers Fina Service Station from 1972 until his retirement. He was a member of Community Alliance Church.
Survivors include his children: Tom (Kathryn) Hopewell of Jefferson, Linda (George) Corbin of Rome; grandchildren: Clifton Stewart, Tanya Conley, Chelsey Simmons, Joshua Hopewell, Kaylan Hopewell and three great grandchildren: Christian Conley, Aiden Simmons and Jaxon Stewart.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:30 at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. James Harp officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Cancer Foundation of Northeast Georgia, P.O.Box 49309, Athens, GA 30604.
