Robert Gordon Farley

Robert Gordon Farley, 81, husband of the late Linda McLeary Farley, died Sunday, January 10, 2021. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Ray Farley and Janice Petry Farley.  Bob served in the US Marine Corp. and received his BS from Fairmont State College in West Virginia.  He retired from Ranger Insurance Company as a marketing manager. An avid outdoorsman & turkey hunter, he also held a soft spot for all creatures great & small. His pack of rescued animals included many beloved cats & dogs. His survivors include two children: Robert (Cindy Lou) Farley, JR. of Stephens, GA, Brooke Farley Doan of Decatur, GA and one granddaughter: Hannah Gardner Doan of Macon, GA.  The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The National Wild Turkey Federation, Post Office Box 530, Edgefield, SC 29824-0530 in hopes that future generations enjoy the sport as much as he did. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
