Athens - Richard Lee Mason, 48, husband of Janet Keeling Mason, died Saturday, January 24, 2009.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Edwards Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Goodman officiating.
Born in Winter Garden, Florida, he was the son of Robert Lee (step-mother Rachel) Mason of Covington and Patricia Barnes Mason of Athens. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Lianne Mason. He was an Apartment Maintenance Supervisor and member of Edwards Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include three children, Victoria, Sarah and Savannah Mason; sisters, Debbie (John) Williams of Winder, Bonnie Mason of Athens and Elizabeth Mason of Covington.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Edwards Chapel Baptist Church Children and Youth Program.
Lord & Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
