Richard Leonard Hansford

Richard Leonard Hansford, 69, husband of 46 years to Lola Bradshaw Hansford, died on Friday, December 20, 2024. Born in Bogart, GA, he was the son of the late Jurdge Richard Hansford and Katherine Tucker Hansford. Richard worked as a machine operator for Peterson Spring in Athens for 20 years, was a member of First Apostolic Church of Whitehall and served in the US Army for 6 years. Survivors in addition to his wife Lola include two children: Kristy (Mitchell) Hopkins and Christopher (Talyshia) Hansford; siblings: Willie Hansford, Thelma Craft, Glenda (Richard) Harbert and Chris Hansford; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 3PM at First Apostolic Church of Whitehall Georgia, 745 E. Whitehall Road, Athens, GA 30605.
