Richard Pete Flanagan

Richard Pete Flanagan, of Hull, Georgia passed away June 16, 2025 in Comer, Georgia.

Richard was born in Athens, Georgia on July 31, 1954, son of Pete and Mary Delle (Bullock) Flanagan.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He lived most of his life in Clarke and Madison counties. Richard was a graduate of Madison County High School where he participated in football, basketball, and baseball and lettered in all three sports. He worked for many years in the Athens area until his physical health began to control his life and forced his retirement.

Richard loved yard work, planting flowers, listening to the Eagles and like bands and spending time with his faithful dog. He was an avid follower of the University of Georgia Football.

Richard is survived by his son, Joseph Raleigh Flanagan of Comer, Georgia; daughter Mary Anna Flanagan, of Hull, Georgia, and sister, Mary Teresa Flanagan, of Rockmart, Georgia.

A private memorial service will be held at a late date.
