Athens, GA - Remzi Ismet Bakalli, 63, died December 16, 2007.
Born in Gjakovë, Kosova, he was the son of the late Ismet Bakalli and Fetije Bakija Bakalli. Mr. Bakalli was a professor with Academy of Science, Kosovë and worked with the University of Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Safije Bakalli; son and daughter in law, Fisnik and Teuta Bakalli of London and Bujar Bakalli of Athens; sisters, Azemine Hoti and Naxharije Bytyqi of Prishtinë, Kosova; grandchildren Zana Bakalli and Adea Bakalli.
Services will be Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and Thursday prior to the service.
The family wishes to thank the Poultry Science Department of University of Georgia, University of Prishtinë and Academy of Science and Arts of Kosovë for their support through his life and recent illness.
