Eastville, Ga. - Rebecca C. STrickland, 72 died July 17, 2005 .
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Lillian Thomas Christopher and was preceded in death by a sister, Racheal Ward. Mrs. STrickland was a longtime employee with Oconee County School System and a member of Ray's United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Pastors Odell Elrod and Bobby Allen officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Brent Christopher, Johnny REynolds, Tony Willoughby, John Mike Christopher, Darin James and David Strickland.
Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Strickland; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Lamar Williamson; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Rhonda Strickland, all of Eastville; 2 brothers, Bill Christopher of Watkinsville and Sidney Christopher of Eastville; 5 grandchildren, Tara Williamson, Matthew Williamson, Brooke James, Hannah Strickland and Grace Strickland and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
