Rebecca Anne Finch (Armstrong) 83 of Jefferson, GA died on April 8th, 2026. The daughter of the late Herman and Edna Armstrong.

Rebecca devoted many years to the Oglethorpe County community in her role as an LPN at the Oglethorpe County Health Department. After marrying Charles Wendell Finch, she moved to Jefferson, Georgia where she worked as a ParaPro helping and loving special needs students at Jackson County High School.

She was known for her care of others, a clean house, and baking. Especially her cakes and banana pudding. All made with the same love and demand with which she lived life.

She was a long-time member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lexington, Ga and Redstone United Methodist Church in Jefferson, GA where she played piano.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wendell Finch, her sisters Rachel and Ann Armstrong, and her Brother Richard Armstrong.

She is survived by her sons, John and Bobby Sims, Her Grand Children, Tyler Sims, Rebecca Sims, Becca Sims, Haylie Martin, and Jackson Owen in addition to her Great Grandchildren Austin Martin, Linley Martin, Maverick Martin, Hunter Whelchel, Weston Whelchel, Catherine Owen, and John Henry Owen.

Per Rebecca’s wishes, there will be a private family only graveside service.
