Athens - Mr. Ralph Cefalo, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Cefalo was born on July 25, 1945 in Bronx, New York to Angeloantonio and Rose Marie Cefalo. Mr. Cefalo served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a member of the Labor International Union of North America local #79. Mr. Cefalo had moved to Athens from Stuart, Florida where he was attending Watkinsville First Baptist Church.
The family of Mr. Cefalo would like to say a special thank you to his sister-in- law and brother-in-law, Nancy and John Worley, for opening their home to him and for the wonderful and gracious care they gave to him. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Katharine Elizabeth Cefalo, and daughter, Kari Ann Kelly.
He is survived by his children, Douglas Cefalo, Christina Cefalo, Sarah Bennett, Rachel Cefalo, and Ralph Cefalo Jr.; brothers, Anthony Cefalo and Andrew Cefalo; sister, Henrietta; 8 grandchildren, Azziyna Alexander, Vaquan Kelly, Briana Decker, Andrew Daw, Salena Cefalo, Kayla Bittner, Austin Bennett and Gabrielle Cefalo.
Funeral Services were held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Lord & Stephens West Chapel, Bogart, Ga. with Rev. Carlos Sibley officiating. Burial followed at Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Douglas Cefalo, Andrew Cefalo, Joseph Bennett, Jeff Bittner, John Worley, and Drew Daw.
