Lexington - Rachel P. Shelkey, 100, died March 14, 2006 at Quiet Oaks Health Care Center, Crawford, GA.
Born in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Issac and Belle Acor. Her husband of 64 years, Roy O. Shelkey, preceded her in death. Mrs. Shelkey moved to the Athens area 13 years ago from Venice, FL.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law; Nancy and Bill Beery of Lexington, GA, granddaughter; Kelly Marsiano of Hixson, TN, grandson; Kevin N. Beery, Park City UT, two great grandchildren; Christopher and Angelina Marsiano.
Graveside services will be held under the direction of Ewing Funeral Home, Venice, FL.
Lord & Stephens, Crawford is in charge of local arrangements.
