Rachel Segars Drake

Sarah Rachel Segars Drake, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022, just a few days after her 87th birthday.

Born in Homer, she was a daughter of the late Clara Mildred Segars. Mrs. Drake was a longtime member of Colbert United Methodist Church and was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She adored her family and thrived on time spent with them. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Walter Drake and two children, Mark Drake and Betty Jean Tittle.

Survivors include four children, Joy Dove (John), Donna Sharp (Randy), Michael Drake and Linda Williams; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Colbert United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Kidd Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Holsey, Wesley Gordon, Ronnie Steedley, Gage Bilaki, Nick Drake and Terry Meyers. The family will receive friends Friday, December 9, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
