Phyllis Ward, 73, died September 17, 2016.
A native of Royston, GA, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Bonnie Cromer Roach and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Bruce. She was employed with the University of Georgia for many years and was named Secretary of the Year in 1980.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband, Garvis Ward; siblings, Gail (Scott) Jones, Dennis (Beverley) Roach and Ronnie (Susan) Roach; granddaughter, Natalie Bruce; great grandson, Austin Bruce.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
