Phoebe Allums Luker, 84, passed away on April 19, 2026; in Athens, Georgia. She was born February 17, 1942, to Wyatt H. Allums and Ruth Daniel Allums, of Lanett, Alabama. Phoebe was bright and focused, becoming Valedictorian of her senior class at Lanett High School in 1960. She began working as a teenager in the corporate office of West Point Manufacturing Company. After she attended Perry Business School at night she was promoted to the General Office. Phoebe retired after almost 30 years in the Home Health and Lifeline department of Alabama Baptist Medical center, Montgomery, Alabama. Phoebe was a dedicated Christian who faithfully served in many churches in the cities she lived, including Sunset Heights, Lanett, Alabama and First Baptist, Prattville, Alabama. Phoebe was an excellent cook, immaculate homemaker and tireless worker in her yard. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phoebe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Larry G. Luker, and her son, Glenn Luker. She is survived by her son Donny Luker (Cheryl), her brother, Howard Allums, and her sister, Debbie Bence (Kenny), seven grandchildren, David Luker (Tiffany), Dana Canterbury (Blake), Kali Friday (Jordan), Layton Luker (Jade), Kelsey Camara (Justin), Lendon Luker (Lucy), and Gentry Luker, and her eleven great grandchildren, Tinsley, Judah, Tessa, Briella, Zane, Beckham, Tanner, Collins, Annie James, Reese and Ella Drew and a niece and four nephews. The Family would like to thank the staff at Arbor Terrace and Agape Hospice for their love and kindness to Phoebe. Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2026, 1:00 – 2:00 Central Time, at Prattville Memorial Chapel, Prattville, Alabama. Graveside service will follow with Dave Burns officiating.
