Peggy Andrews Randolph, 79, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, surrounded by immense love.
Peggy was born on November 15, 1946, in Morgantown, West Virginia. A gifted musician from an early age, she pursued her passion at West Virginia University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Music with High Honors and her Master of Music. She was also a proud member of the Epsilon Nu sorority.
Peggy married the love of her life, David Mark Randolph, with whom she shared an extraordinary musical partnership and life. They were married for 31 years. Together, they performed many concerts - he on the tuba and she on the piano - most memorably touring throughout Brazil. Their artistry, devotion, and shared purpose were inspiring to all who knew them. Peggy was preceded in death by David, who passed away at age 54.
Music was not only Peggy's career but also her calling. For her entire professional life, she taught private piano lessons, nurturing countless young musicians with her patience, talent, and belief in their potential. She also accompanied her husband David's tuba and euphonium students, supporting and elevating their performances with the same grace and mastery that defined every part of her musicianship.
For decades, Peggy served as the pianist and choir member at First Presbyterian Church, where she was a cherished and steadfast presence. She also played piano for The Mellows, the church's elder singing group, bringing joy, music, and fellowship to local care homes. Her gift of music touched generations and remained one of the great blessings she offered to her community.
Peggy is survived by her two children, Chelsea Randolph (Justin Carter) and Geoffrey Randolph; her five beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth Randolph, Makayla Carter, Jake Carter, Maddy Randolph, and David Randolph; and many friends, students, fellow musicians, and church family who were deeply enriched by her life.
Above all, Peggy's greatest love was her family. She was devoted, caring, and warm. She poured her heart and soul into her children and grandchildren and she leaves behind memories treasured beyond measure. She will be so deeply missed.
