Athens - Marjorie P. (Peggy) Kent, 80, passed away October 15, 2008.
A native of Clarke County, she was a daughter of the late Jennie Campbell and George Bone and was the widow of Harvey Lee Kent. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Hancock; two brothers, Jimmy Bone and Richard Bone; and sister, Imogene Drennan. Mrs. Kent was a lifelong resident of this area and retired from Thomas Textiles.
Graveside services will be Friday, October 17, 2008 at 3 PM at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Buford Lockman officiating.
Survivors include three children, Janet Bonner, Jeannie Lee and Jeff Kent, all of Athens; sister, Florence Nell Clayton of Blackburg, S.C.; brother, J.C. Bone of Dallas, N.C.; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
