Peggy Irene (Nelms) Beard

Peggy Irene Beard, 84, of Comer, GA passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Born on September 28, 1939, Peggy was the daughter of the late R.W. Nelms and Kathleen Coker. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Poss and Oscar Beard.

A native of Madison County, Peggy was a long-time member of Meadow Baptist Church.

She is survived by her two daughters: Michel Roberts and Dedra Banks; three grandchildren: Candice Ellerbee (James), Kenneth Roberts (Sydney), and Kayla Banks; one great grandchild: Charlie Roberts; brother: Ed Nelms (Joyce); sister in law: Linda Graham (Ned); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Meadow Baptist Church on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 12:00 pm following a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TJ and Friends Cancer Foundation or Meadow Baptist Church.
