Peggy Barrentine

Peggy M. Barrentine, 97, of Crawford, passed away on May 20, 2025. Born on February 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Tom Mayo and Nannie Lou Mayo.

Peggy spent her life caring for her family and was an avid Christian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Vondell Barrentine, Sr.; children, Betty Jo Barrentine, Lynn Barrentine, Jr., Sheila Arthur, Johnny Barrentine; four sisters; one brother.

Survivors include her sons, David Barrentine (Pam), Chuck Barrentine (Paula); grandchildren, Corey Arthur (Stephanie), Shaun Barrentine (Cody), Lori Crosby (Jessie), Hayden Barrentine; six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:30, at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens.
