Patsy Carol Gable Appleby

Patsy Carol Gable Appleby, 63 of Athens, passed away on March 18, 2023. She was the daughter of the late, John Henry & Pearl Lillian Gable; was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Appleby, Jr., and also preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Jean Ricks; brothers, Donnie Gable and J.B. Mayo.

She was a lifelong servant to our lord and savior, loved her grand dog Ace and her cat Sparkle, was a woman who walked by faith, loved her family, and was always full of love and life.

Funeral services are Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Lord & Stephens, East Chapel with Rev. Richard Howard officiating. The family will visit Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The interment will be in Jefferson Pentecostal Church cemetery.

Survivors include son, Royce (Kasie) Appleby III; sisters and brothers, Janice Phillips, Barbara Young, Wayne (Anita) Gable, Cathy Phillips, Teresa (Billy) Jones, Darlene Gable, and Malinda Gable; a sister-in-law, Delphine Burton; and many nieces, nephews.

Pallbearers are Matthew Jones, Thad Jones, Blake Gable, Tyler Newborn, Quinton Sherod, and Tyler Young. Honorary Pallbearers are Wesley Jones and Isaiah Pope.
