Mozelle Jane Cowart

Mozelle Jane Cowart, 88, of Athens, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018.
Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late DeLoney and Clara Ree Gillen. Mrs. Cowart was a prayer warrior and a member of Faith Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch and most importantly, spending time with her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be missed dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Roy Lee Bradshaw; her brothers, Bill, Henry, Robert and Sam Gillen; sisters, Emma Tittle, Ruby Wilson, and Lena Hughes; son, Cecil Mack Bradshaw and her sons-in-law, Carey Cunningham and Ricky Eberhart.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Cowart; children, Betty and Wayne Railey, Rebecca Cunningham, Dorothy and Charles Cowart, Mary and Joe Cash, Janice Eberhart and Jerry and Lacrecia Bradshaw; 19 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East. Interment will follow at Colbert City Cemetery. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Cowart's grandsons and great-grandsons. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
