Mitch & Jan Lee

Mitchell Gregory Lee and Jan Walker Lee, along with their beloved dog, Lucy, went home to be with Jesus on September 7, 2025.

Jan was born to Albert Morris Walker, Jr. and Norma Jean Walker on October 15, 1965 and raised in Richmond Hill, GA along with her siblings, Bettie (Don) Folds, Ricky (Staci) Walker, Roger (Pam) Walker, her twin sister, Jean (Dan) Rhinehart and foster sister, Velinda Burnsed.

Mitch was born to Grady Miles Lee and Louise Holley Lee on January 5, 1965, and was raised in Patmos, GA. Mitch and his siblings spent their time getting into trouble on the family's farm. His siblings include Betty (Buddy - deceased) Bloodworth, Ronnie Lee (deceased), sister-in-law, Susan Lee, Peggy (Owen) Rogers, Marilyn Smith and Alan (Marcia) Lee.

Mitch and Jan were married on July 10, 1999, and welcomed their only daughter, Blair, in 2001.

Long-time Oconee residents, the Lees relocated to downtown Bostwick in 2021. They quickly made friends and were known for hosting many "Bostwick Supper Club" meals at their home. You would often find them rocking on their porch while watching cars drive by or catching up with their cherished neighbors. In 2024, the Lees were thrilled to gain a son-in law when their cherished daughter married Sean Hogg. Jan finally had a boy to spoil with her delicious cooking, and Mitch had someone with whom he could always enjoy Georgia football and Braves baseball!

In addition to loving their family well, Mitch and Jan also loyally served their community. Jan worked as the practice administrator for Greater Athens Physicians with Dr. Gilbert and Dr. Morris for more than 20 years. She loved going on shopping trips with her daughter and had a special interest in shoes! Mitch was a valued employee with Johnson and Johnson for more than 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, umpiring for the local baseball teams, and simply talking with anyone who would listen! Together, they enjoyed attending Georgia football games, camping, and traveling with their family, friends, and their beloved dog Lucy. Mitch and Jan were longtime members of Briarwood Baptist Church where they were faithful servants to the church and Mitch was Chairman of The Deacons.

A celebration of their lives will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11AM at Briarwood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Briarwood Baptist Church in memory of Mitch and Jan Lee.
