Millard "Bill" Franklin Seagraves, Jr., cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the age of 82.
Born in Athens, he was the son of the late Millard Franklin Seagraves, Sr. and Sara Hardy Seagraves. Bill honorably served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Following his service, he built a long and dedicated career with Reliance Electric, where he worked for 22 years. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found happiness in working the land, often spending time on his backhoe. He loved horses and trail riding, and had a special talent for training mules. A man of strong faith, he cherished time spent reading his Bible, which was a steady source of comfort and strength throughout his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Elizabeth Seagraves and his brother, Jimmy Seagraves.
Survivors include his second wife of 27 years, Kay Scott Seagraves; his children, Laura Scott, Robin Paglianite and David Seagraves; brother, Mickey Seagraves; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Gordon's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
