Mildred Louise McConnell, 80, of Winterville, died Saturday, July 4, 2015.
Born in Chattanooga, she was the daughter of the late Pink Brown and Eula Mae Springfield. Mrs. McConnell was an advocate for the ASPCA, Salvation Army and Disabled American Veterans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Alan and Lee Stone.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Stone Dixon; one sister, Barbara Brewer; and two grandchildren, Danny Key and Patricia Dixon.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charity, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
