Mildred Ann Edwards

Mildred Ann Edwards, a beloved figure in her community, passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on December 24, 1934 in Philomath, GA and enjoyed a fulfilling and dedicated life. Mildred had a distinguished career that started as an office manager at General Times before branching out to become self-employed, building homes for over 25 years. She was a cherished member of the High Shoals Christian Church, where she found community and fellowship throughout her life. Mildred is survived by her nieces, Genie Stevens, Debbie Callaway, and Angie Gresham, along with her nephew, David Huff, and a number of great nieces and nephews who will carry on her legacy. Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Mary Diane Edwards, as well as her parents, Henry David Huff and Mary Lizzie Taylor Huff. She is also reunited with her sister, Ruth Angoline Huff, and her brother, Mitchell David Huff. A celebration of Mildred’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 10AM at High Shoals Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Thomas officiating.
