Maylin Burdison Ashe

Mrs. Maylin Burdison Ashe, 85, entered into the arms of her loving Savior on August 6,2025.

Mrs. Ashe was born in Huntington, WV to Dr. William Ronald Burdison and DorothyEastman Burdison on March 23, 1940.

From a young age, Mrs. Ashe had a great passion for education. After receiving her own degree in education from The University of Georgia, she remained in Athens and served the Clarke County School System for the entirety of her career. She touched many young lives in her tenure and her dedication will be fondly remembered by those whom she served.

Left to cherish the memories they made together are her loving husband of 60 years, Robert G. Ashe; her sons, Kevin Ashe (Kim), Geoffrey Ashe (Jessica), and Russell Ashe (Katie Smith); her grandchildren, Kristina(Cole), Kendall Ashe, Austin Ashe (Faith), Nicolas Ashe, Anna Ashe, Andrew Ashe, Owen Ashe, Milo Ashe; and one great-grandchild, Ellie.

A memorial service to honor Ms. Ashe will be held at 11:00 A.M. on August 14, 2025 at Winterville Baptist Church. The family kindly suggests casual dress. A private interment at Athens Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
