Matthew Joseph Shock, 46, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. A resident of Georgia and successful real estate entrepreneur, Matthew was born in Townson, Maryland, to Steven Irvin (Gena) Shock and Gloria Shock (Neil) Thomas.

 A graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Matthew built a successful career as a Real Estate Investor and was the founder and owner of Immovable Industries. His professional achievements were matched by his dedication to his family, particularly his beloved twin children. Matthew is survived by his children, Elizabeth Joanne Shock and Elijah James Shock; his brothers, Atom Shock and Christopher William (Jenny) Shock; his sister, Lisa Nicole (Steve) Aquillano; and his cherished nieces and nephews: Fletcher Shock, Wyatt Shock, Sunny Shock, Jules Shock, Max Aquillano, and Miles Aquillano. He also leaves behind his father, Steven Irvin Shock, as well as his mother, Gloria Shock Thomas.

 A memorial service celebrating Matthew's life will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home East Chapel located at 4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lydia's Place in Athens, GA, which provides basic care for young adults who have experienced foster care or housing insecurity while promoting their growth to independence.
