Mary Ann Wheeler

Mary Ann Wheeler (Woods) 79, passed away August 17, 2024. She was born January 11, 1945, in Athens and raised in Whitehall. A master seamstress her whole life and worked for Wilkens, Georgia Sportswear, and George Gibsons Menswear. She loved the Lord, her family, and sewing. She was a member of Lexington Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Wheeler of 51 years, parents, Annie Pearl Schlock Smith and Mayfield Woods; siblings, Carolyn Moore, Irene Meeler and Robert Smith.

A private service is to be set for a later date.

Survivors include daughter, Kathy Harris Sisk; son, Anthony (Katie) Wheeler; granddaughters, Katie (Levi) Sisk Cooner and Molly Bureau Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Braelyn Tucker, Diesel Yearwood, and Dalton Yearwood; several in laws, nieces and nephews and cousins.
