Martha Steele Woods

Martha Steele Woods 95 of Lexington, GA, passed away September 13, 2024. She was the daughter of the late, Alvin Ed & Eula Mae Steele; also preceded by her husband, Wallace Edward Woods; she is also preceded in death by her son Gary Wallace Woods and daughter Kathie Louise Yielding and a brother, Alvin Ed Steele, Jr. 

Mrs. Woods was a longtime seamstress and was retired from Georgia Sportswear. She loved sewing and gardening and was a member of Pentecost Chapel Congregational Holiness Church in Lexington, GA.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 16, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Pentecost Chapel CH Church with Rev. Butch Roberts and Rev. Jeffrey Gailey officiating. Mrs. Woods will lie in state in the church from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The viewing will take place Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. The interment will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include Daughter, Pam Woods Horton (Michael); sister, Eddie Mae Woods; grandchildren, Ashley Young (Dan), Brian Sisk (Caitlin), and Abby Horton and six great-grandchildren.
