Martha Warren Thomas, age 82, passed away on October 4, 2025, in Athens, Georgia.
She was born on February 15, 1943, in Richlands, Virginia. Martha had a wonderful career as a self-employed antique arts and crafts era dealer, a ranch manager in Idaho, and a fishing business in Florida. She attended Flint Hill School in Fairfax, VA and studied at Martha Washington College for two years. Martha loved music and enjoyed attending the UGA opera.
She traveled across the United States and especially loved exploring Europe. Martha lived in Seattle for 10 years, then spent another 10 years in the Chicago area before moving to the Athens area in 2010.
Martha is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Thomas, and her daughter, Rachel and husband Kevin Tandy. She is also survived by her grandsons, William and Daniel Tandy, sister in law, Faye S. Warren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis William Warren and Kathleen Helbert Warren, and her brother, Donald Warren.
Martha Warren Thomas will be remembered for her passion for antiques, her love of music, and her adventurous spirit.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Athens Area Humane Society.
A memorial service will be held later.
