Mark Ellis Summers

Mark E. Summers, 64 of Athens, Georgia entered his eternal home on August 17, 2023.  He was the son the of the late Reverend Jack Summers and Frances Ellis Summers.

Mark owned and operated Winterville Tire and Battery in Winterville,Georgia for many years and recently retired from Evergreen Packaging in Athens, Georgia. He was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church and an avid hunter and fisherman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 2pm - 4pm in the Fellowship Hall of Winterville United Methodist Church in Winterville, Georgia.  Reverend Tac Coley will be in charge of the service.

Survivors include his Son, Holden Moore Summers (Fiancè, Elizabeth Paige Vaughn), Alpharetta, Georgia, Holden’s Mother, Stacey Moore Summers, Crawford, Georgia, Brothers, Paul Summers (Julie Ann) Barnesville, Georgia and Andy Summers (Debbie) Barnesville, Georgia.  Sister, Sharon Petitt (Greg) Cleveland Georgia. Special friends Wayne and Diane Stanford. His dog Willie, and several Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Winterville United Methodist Church in Mark’s name.
