Mark Edward Thompson, 49, died December 4, 2009.
A native of Clarke County, he was a son of Dorothy Eberhart Thompson of Athens and the late Buddy Thompson.
Memorial services were held Monday, December 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his longtime friend, Lois Thompson; four children, Catherine Ann Thompson, Alicia Marie Thompson, Melissa Louise Thompson and Janna Renee Heidelberg; sister, Robin Thompson Verhine.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church.
