Marion Lynn Johnson Rush

Marion Lynn Johnson Rush, born at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA on October 10, 1955, went home to be with the Lord at her residence on May 21, 2026, after a long bout of sickness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William T. Johnson and Princine Rowland Johnson of Douglasville, GA. She married Charlie T. Rush on December 15, 1972, and was preceded in death on February 16, 2020.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Newtown Baptist Church with Pastor Chuck Black officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Church.

Survivors include four children, David (Jennifer) Rush of Carlton, GA, Amanda (Chuck) Black of Comer, GA, Elizabeth Gailey of Comer, GA and Drey (Patty) Mathis of Comer, GA; two brothers, David Johnson of Sharpsburg, GA and Mark (Crystal) Johnson of Douglasville, GA; two sisters, Joann (Mike) Atkinson of Panama City, FL and Becky (Randy) Toney of Carrollton, GA; grandchildren, Jessica (Jake) Moon, Adrianna Rush, Justin (Victoria) Owens, Alliemarie Gailey, Zachary (Kassidie) Owens and Austin Mathis; great grandchildren, Peyton Hernandez, Mason Moon, Hudson Owens, Kyleigh Owens, Dutton Owens and Hayzlee Owens; bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chris Owens (Dayton Briar), Justin (Lacy Black, (Jackson Wesley Callie), Josh Owens (Addison Weston Wyatt) and Jason Duggar.
