Marion Kinney Wilmot

Marion Kinney Bowden Wilmont, 90, past away peacefully at Brookside of Commerce on September 2, 2025.

Born in Habersham County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Bertha Lawson Kinney. Mrs. Wilmont was the mother of the late Sixleth Rainmaker and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Loyd William Bowden. She retired from the University of Georgia.

She was a light in the lives of everyone she met, always offering kindness, warmth, and a comforting presence. Her generosity of spirit and unwavering care touched countless hearts, leaving a lasting impression that will continue to shine in the memories of who knew her. She brought light to every heart she touched, following a path of goodness that grew brighter with each passing day

She is survived by her grandsons, Cameron Bowden and Nicholas Bowden.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 1PM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be taking place at Evergreen Memorial Park.
