Marian C. Higgins

Marian Louise Chandler Higgins was born on May 6, 1940, in Oglethorpe County, Georgia.  She was the second daughter of Benjamin Thornton Chandler and Sarah Louise Veale Chandler who had a family of four children.  Marian passed away on November 3, 2023, and is survived by her daughter Crystal Marie Higgins-Weems of Oglethorpe County, Georgia, and one brother, Donald R. Chandler of Marietta, Georgia, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her older sister, Helen G. Chandler Usry, her younger brother, Ronald L. Chandler, and her husband, Jimmy Lee Higgins.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Temple United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2467 Wire Bridge Road, Arnoldsville, Georgia, and conducted by Pastor Eric Stevens of Crawford, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter (MOAS) .
