Margie Nell (Farr) Lavender

Margie Nell Lavender, 87, wife of the late Robert Ted Lavender, Sr., died on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Born in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Bee Farr and Beulah Elizabeth Anthony Farr and mother to the late Robert Ted Lavender, Jr. and Melinda Janet Delgado and sister to the late Joyce Ann Farr, Ida Ruth Farr and James “Sonny” Farr. Margie was a homemaker that took pride in raising her six children and a member of Living Waters Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include her four children: Barbara Lavender Mitchem, Steven Kirby (Amy) Lavender, Debbie Dee Lavender and John Jason “J.J.” Lavender and grandmother to eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and has three great great grandchildren on the way. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 2PM at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3PM until 5PM on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home East.
